Prevention Services

Prevention Services works to create drug free communities by partnering with other groups, councils and coalitions to provide evidence based programs that increase overall wellness and prevents/reduces youth substance abuse and negative behaviors.  Prevention services are composed of activities designed to increase the development of positive life skills, promote physical and mental wellness, and strengthen individuals, families, and communities in order to reduce the occurrence of mental health and substance abuse problems. Prevention Specialists work in schools and communities by developing and implementing research-based prevention programs.  For more information contact the Coordinator of Prevention Services.
